Why “Little Footprints”

Little Footprints’ name came about, to put it simply, in a personal ‘quiet time’. During the process of starting play-dates with children in the Early Years, I had many moments of hesitation, thinking that this idea would not materialise. God would show up and push those thoughts away.

He reminded me of all the other times in the past when I had the same thoughts of doubt, and how He guided and comforted me through every one of them. This is when the story below of the Footprints in the sand came to mind. I thought, “This has to be in the name, because if I am going to do this, I am going to need Jesus to carry me through, every step of the way.”

Since I am working with little ones, I thought that “Little Footprints” would be perfect.

Everyone knows God in a different way. Little Footprints believes in Jesus, however we are open to learning and understanding different beliefs and cultures and appreciate the values that other religions bring to an environment.
